Adam and Josh inexplicably owned the Hollywood Squares game for the NES.

Characters

Adam and Josh renamed many of the "celebrities" available to answer questions.

Cutie Pie

Adam and Josh renamed the woman in the middle row to the far right "Cutie Pie", mainly because she had a bit of a cutesy appearance due to her curly hair.

The Screamer

Each "celebrity" has two frames of animation that they alternate between while waiting to be selected. The man in the bottom right corner caught and Adam and Josh's attention because the second frame of his animation looked as though he were screaming in anger rather than laughing. Due to this, they renamed him "The Screamer".

The Screamer 2

The man in the top left corner of the board also appears to be screaming during his animation, but he appears to be much happier than The Screamer. Due to his animation, Adam and Josh dubbed him "The Screamer 2".

Gameplay

Growling Beavis

The game offers a selection of two men and two women for the player to choose from as their character. Adam and Josh would more often than not choose between the two men - a preppy looking clean cut man or (more likely) a stereotypically "cool" looking man wearing sunglasses with what appeared to be a pompadour haircut. As with the "celebrities", these characters have minimal-frame animations of their own. The sunglasses character would either be looking forward with a goofy smile or to his side, seemingly at the other contestant. When doing the latter, he would alternate between a closed-mouth smile and a smile showing his teeth. To Adam and Josh, the toothy smile looked awkward and oddly aggressive, so they began to growl as he did so, acting as though the character were growling like a dog warning his opponent. They named him "Growling Beavis" due to his tenuous resemblance to the character Beavis from Beavis and Butthead.

Host Gibberish

Josh noticed that the host seemed to have a very condescending look on his face. Due to this (and the game-wide minimal animation frames), Josh decided to take him down a peg by making mocking gibberish sounds during the talking frames of animation. This would sound as follows.

Key and Car Combos

If the player advances to the final round, they get to select from five different keys and then use that key on one of five different cars. Adam had success once by picking either key two and car three, or key three and car two. Assuming this would always lead to victory, both Adam and Josh almost invariably picked some combination of key two or three and car two or three, regardless of the fact that they knew how much this limited their chances.
