Adam and Josh (more Josh than Adam) played a lot of the Aero Fighters series of shooting arcade games via emulator.

Quotes

Cindy/Ellen

Cindy and Ellen are a mother/daughter combo, although Cindy, the little girl, is the pilot. Some of their quotes are particularly funny to Adam and Josh, most notably one where Cindy says "I know what I'm doing." to which Ellen replies "Don't get cocky, Cindy." To Adam and Josh, this seemed like an out of proportion response to Cindy's comment. Adam and Josh began to use "Don't get cocky, Cindy." as a generic chastisement for anyone they perceived to be getting a swelled head, even if the circumstances were incredibly far from their interpretation of it.

Another of their favorite Cindy/Ellen quotes is Cindy saying "I am ready for some tacos." to which Ellen replies "After we save the ruins."

Kohful

Kohful is a viking who has decided to pilot a jet to save the world. All but one of his quotes is simply him yelling some variation of "HAHAHAHAHAHA". After defeating the final boss, however, Kohful says something new. He attempts to fly his plane deeper out into space to find other worlds to prove his strength on but as he tries to do so, the plane stalls and he states the incredibly obvious "It's impossible to do it with a jet." Adam and Josh found this painfully funny and have repeated it often, however using their own shortened version of "You can't do it in a jet." The phrase has since been used in circumstances where someone says that something can't be done.

Prince Villiam

Prince Villiam's bride has been taken hostage by the aliens and he is fighting to get her back. By far, Villiam has the most enjoyable quotes of anyone in the game. Chronologically, his quotes are as follows:

You coward, you took my bride as a hostage.
Enemy took my bride as a hostage.
She's not even here.
Whereis the enemy's headquarters? (sic)
Let me pass through here with my princely power. (a favorite)
Here after, they lived happily ever after.

When repeating any of these quotes, Adam and Josh use a tone of extreme butthurt.

Spanky

Spanky is a dolphin. Not much else needs to be said. Because he's a dolphin, most of his quotes relate to fish or the ocean or something, but the quote that stood out to Josh the most was "I'm the world's first dolphin pilot." to which Josh replied emphatically "No shit!". Two others of note are "I never thought I'd be frying over a jungle." (another example of the r/l Japanese to English translation inversion) and "The capitol was destroyed, but hey, what can you do?"

A character similar in theme to Spanky is Bobby, a baby pilot. Most of his quotes relate to him being a baby ("I miss my mommy." etc.) but again, the quote that stood out to Josh the most was "I'm the world's first baby pilot." to which Josh, again, replied emphatically "No shit!".

Miscellaneous

Power-up Half-life

One of the traits of the Aero Fighters games is that the maximum firepower of the planes only lasts for a short while. The highest level is only temporary and so it doesn't really aid the player much during the course of a level. Adam and Josh are highly annoyed by this and call the short length of time that the power-ups last as "power-up half-life".

Spider Copters

A Spider Copter

There is a certain style of helicopter in the game that Josh decided to call a "Spider Copter". He isn't really sure why other than that the copter is thinner than the other helicopters in the game, but the real reason remains a mystery even to him.

Teenage Werewolf

In Aero Fighters 3, an audio sample plays before every boss fight. Due to the poor quality of the audio sample, Adam and Josh, in typical fashion, made their own version of the sample, saying "Hey you teenage werewolf, where ya be! Let's get ready to rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrock!" with the "r" in rock being trilled in a gargling style.
