Aishiteruze Baby is a drama/romance anime Adam and Josh watched in 2012.
A particular musical cue that often plays reminded Adam of the opening of "Let's Get it On" by Marvin Gaye. Each time the cue played, Adam would remark "Awww yeah..." Isaac Hayes style, even though almost every time the cue played the context didn't warrant such a reaction.
An early minor antagonist to the show was depicted as a somewhat dumpy, unattractive girl. When watching alone, Josh didn't like her even before she was revealed to be a bother and dubbed her "the frumpster". When watching with Adam later, Adam didn't like her either and started saying "Christ, what an asshole." whenever she appeared, as she usually did cruel things to the adorable main character.
An inordinate amount of characters in the show often sport pigtails, a hairstyle Adam and Josh are particularly fond of. Usually earning a "pigtails <3" comment, the unusual amount of them in the show caused them to dub the situation as "pigtail heaven".
Yuzuyu post-Slaps creation
Early in the series, Yuzuyu, the little girl protagonist, gets upset with a classmate named Ken and she slaps him. This turns out to be a misunderstanding, and Ken and Yuzuyu become good friends. Josh quickly grew to like Ken quite a bit, giving him the nickname "Slaps McGee". When watching the series again with Adam, Josh would always happily herald his appearance with "Heeeeey! It's Slaps McGee!", referring to him this way throughout.
