In the second season, the Devices that the antagonists use speak in German. These characters return in the third season, StrikerS. During the third season, Nanoha and Fate are around eighteen years old. After encountering a young girl named Vivio, they jointly adopt her and she begins to refer to both of them as "mama". Josh enjoyed the forceful responses of the aforementioned Devices, and mixing terms, began to collectively refer to Nanoha and Fate as "Mama Exploseeyohn!", since Vivio immediately went from zero mamas to two.

Alternate Names



Hayate - Due to her being in a wheelchair, Josh gave her various nicknames, among them: Crips McGee, The Wheelchaired Wonder, and others of that ilk.
Yuuno - On Earth, Yuuno takes the form of a ferret. Having recently watched Strawberry Marshmallow (in which one of the characters has a pet ferret named John), Josh began to refer to Yuuno (both in ferret and human form) as "John". This name stuck through all three seasons.
