Little Clown Eff
One of the characters in the series is named Chiaotzu. His appearance and mannerisms are modeled after Jiang Shi, Chinese vampires. Unaware of this, Josh looked at Chiaotzu's white skin, red cheeks, and dopey hat, and assumed he was some sort of clown. This opinion was only strengthened as Josh noticed the character never really doing much of anything. Annoyed at Chiaotzu's apparent uselessness, Josh began to refer to him as "the Little Clown Eff".
Concepts
Body-Head Ratio
The majority of the characters are heavily muscled. As they go through various stages of powering up, their muscles get even larger. In some cases, the muscles seem to get so ludicrously large that they begin to look out of proportion to their heads. Adam and Josh began to theorize that it was not their bodies that were getting larger, but their heads that were getting smaller. This way they would still look menacing but with less effort.
Krillin on his stomach
As a human, Krillin is weaker than his Saiyan counterparts. Due to this, he is often not very effective in battle and usually falls early. As such, he spends most of each battle laying on the ground, cheering on his comrades. Adam and Josh found this situation comical, and whenever a fight started, expected to see Krillin already on his stomach.
Trigger Happy
Adam and Josh collaborated on a Chrono Trigger/Dragon Ball Z crossover fanfic intended to lampoon the characters and tropes from each franchise. They made sure to cover the Body-Head Ratio (Marle brings it up during a power-up sequence) and Krillin on his stomach (he states "Well guys, I’m ready when you are!" from the ground when the battle starts).
"Repulsive!
In Trigger Happy, the antagonist (named Hoagie) has gained his power through eating bologna sandwiches. Vegeta finds this distasteful, exclaiming "Bologna?! REPULSIVE!!". Before a fight breaks out, Hoagie is unprepared, as he is in the middle of a meal. He say "Oomp! Just as sec!" to buy some time.
As Adam and Josh were preparing to watch some anime, one of them (which one is lost to time) said "Ready for countdown", to which the other, who wasn't yet ready, replied "oomp!". Prompted by the quote, the first one responded with "repulsive!" and the exchange has been repeated when necessary since.
"You would."
In one episode, Vegeta is unwillingly wearing a pink shirt that Bulma has forced him to wear. Taken aback, Trunks keep peeking over at Vegeta, who is sitting some distance away. The following discussion (paraphrased) ensues:
Vegeta: "What are you looking at?"
Trunks: "Nothing, it's just that I like your shirt."
Vegeta: "You would."
Josh found Vegeta's implication quite humorous and began saying "you would" in the same accusatory manner, even if the situation didn't call for it.
