Riker goes supercrazy

One afternoon, Josh was watching Star Trek the Next Generation on TV. The 21st episode of the 6th season, "Frame of Mind", involved Commander Riker rehearsing for a play in which his character's sanity is heavily challenged. Things take an interesting turn when Riker begins to hallucinate and question his own sanity outside of the play.

At one point, a very stressed and confused Riker performs the climactic scene of the play. During the scene, he begins to hallucinate once again and looks into the audience. There he sees a man a he doesn't know who has been appearing at various times in and possibly outside of Riker's hallucinations. Becoming very agitated, Riker approaches the man and engages him while yelling.

At this point, Josh was describing the episode to someone online and couldn't find the best way to describe Riker's intensity. After yelling at the man, Riker grabs him by the shirt and roughly pulls him to his feet with a very animalistic look on his face. Josh offhandedly said that "it's the episode where Riker goes supercrazy". From that point on, any time a person or character goes well beyond the limit of even a highly emotional person, or are put in a situation well outside the established bounds of sanity, they are said to reach an even higher level of activity, dubbed as "supercrazy".

Riker is not the only ST:TNG character to experience this phenomenon. Below is a list of other ST:TNG characters and the instances in which they went supercrazy:

Worf goes supercrazy

Jean Luc Picard - goes supercrazy when he is kidnapped and mentally and physically tortured by the Cardassians

Data - goes supercrazy when his mind is taken over by Masaka and other personalities from an ancient structure inside a comet

Worf - goes supercrazy when he returns from a bat'leth tournament and finds himself shifting between realities

Geordi La Forge - goes supercrazy when he and a colleague attempt to defeat a parasite that is trying to transform them into another species

Beverly Crusher - goes supercrazy when a ghost named Ronin manipulates her into falling in love with him

Deanna Troi - goes supercrazy when the only dreams she has are night terrors causing her to slowly lose her mind

Reginald Barclay - goes supercrazy when, after being electrocuted in an accident, his intelligence and confidence are vastly improved, so much so that he transfers the bulk of his mind into the ship's computer

Technically, the entire population of the Enterprise went supercrazy at least once. This occurs in the episode "Genesis" when a medical mistake causes everyone but Data and Picard to de-evolve.
