"Hoopin!"

In the mid 1990's, Adam and Josh would get up early on summer break to watch Sailor Moon on TV. For a while, it aired on the UPN network. During commercial break, a UPN promo would occasionally air in which kids would nearly rap "UPN!" in a chorus, pronounced "oop-in'!" with a hip hop back beat. Partly due to how early in the morning it was and partly due to the pronunciation, Adam and Josh assumed they were actually saying "hoopin'!" as if they were trying to start some new urban catchphrase. Their confusion was justified when discussing this with their friends who had come to a similar and independent conclusion. Any time the commercial would air, Adam and Josh would semi-mockingly chant "hoopin'!" along with the kids. This would be an early example of Adam and Josh's developing disgust for heavily demographically geared advertising.
