Highlander: The Animated Series was a cartoon that ran in the time slot after Sailor Moon on UPN starting in 1994. Adam and Josh took note of the show only because it came on right after Sailor Moon. Finding the cartoon fairly enjoyable, they continued to watch and eventually some corruptions arose.
In one episode, Kortan decided to display his influence over his territories by placing large "K"'s throughout the countryside. He demanded to be referred to as "The Almighty K". Adam and Josh found this amusing enough, but on one trip to Knott's Berry Farm, they noticed a large, lit "K" for "Knott's" atop a tall structure in the park. Recalling the episode, they both realized that Knott's Berry Farm was now under the control of "The Almighty K".
Clyde's travel companion and pet was a Gran named Gaul. Adam and Josh both thought Gaul was hideous and Josh started to refer to Gaul as "the dirtbag". The name further stuck during an episode titled "Isle of the Grans" ("Isle of the Dirtbags", or soon just referred to as Dirtbag Isle) in which the main characters visited a village of Grans. Josh was very annoyed that the village seemed extremely similar to the Ewok village from Star Wars and his contempt for the dirtbags only grew.
On occasion, Quentin seemed to have a very short temper and would get aggravated very easily. In one particular scene, Quentin is told that the person he is seeking is a short distance away in a certain direction. Quentin turns and, finding nobody there, reacts with rage, saying "No one... LIAR!". Quentin maintains this attitude throughout the rest of the episode, causing Adam and Josh to define his entire personality based on that scene. Whenever an applicable situation arises, one of them is sure to yell in Quentin-like anger.
In one particular episode, Clyde, Quentin's adopted sister, goes to bathe and wash her clothing in a lake. Quentin goes over to her to talk with her and, contrary to modesty, Clyde is only clothed in a somewhat long shirt that goes down to her her mid to high thigh. Neither she nor Quentin react in embarrassment at all and in fact are very nonchalant. Adam and Josh both found it amusing how Clyde's near nudity had no impact on the situation and called out in an amused and pseudo-protective manner "Clyde, cover up!"
During a half-asleep daydream, Adam once created a situation where Clyde was falling off a cliff (calling out "Quentin!" as she often did when in danger) with Quentin reaching out and yelling in desperation, unable to reach her. For some reason, Adam decided to repeat the scenario a number of times, with Quentin becoming less and less concerned each time. The final sequence had Quentin resting on his elbow, looking over the cliff as Clyde falls, and shrugging his shoulders in apathy.
