Sometime circa 2000, Josh realized that the old mnemonic device SOH/CAH/TOA for trigonometric functions sounded similar to something Jabba the Hutt from Star Wars might say. Taking this further, Adam and Josh recorded Josh saying the phrase with sound recorder and slowed it down as best they could to match Jabba's voice, of course adding a the prerequisite "Ho ho ho!" at the end.
Naming the file "Jabba Teaches Trigonometry", Adam and Josh were so amused that they created two in the series:
"Jabba Teaches Physical Education"
Here, Jabba takes on the role of a P.E. teacher, demanding "Drop and give me twenty, HO HO HO!"
and
"Jabba Teaches Opera"
Using an opera-themed clip from the track "Arcadia" off the fourth "Vision of Escaflowne" soundtrack, Jabba interjects mid aria, proclaiming "DO RE MI - HO HO HO!". Adam and Josh find the fact that Jabba dismissively reduces an art form to such simplistic elements as very telling of his unrefined character.
