Trauma Center is a series of video games developed by Atlas. In Trauma Center: Second Opinion for the Wii, a number of corruptions arose during play.
The nurse Angie often calls out the main character's name (Dr. Stiles) when something important arises. Because of Adam's ineptitude at certain elements of the game, he was forced to replay many sections, causing Adam and Josh to both hear Angie's prompting numerous times. The quote then took on a life of its own, being repeated by Adam or Josh with no prompting.
Right before undertaking surgery, Josh took to saying "Alright, let's cut this fat boy open." This is a different version of a quote from the Seinfeld episode "The Junior Mints". In it, Kramer is trying to convince Jerry to come with him to view a surgery. Giving in to the pressure, Jerry says "Just let me finish my coffee... then we'll go watch them slice this fat bastard up."
Part of the pre-op procedure is to apply antiseptic gel to the area of incision. Upon showing one of Adam's friends the game, he became amused at the amount of gel required to complete the task as well as the sound effect during its application. He coined the phrase "slathering on the gel" to illustrate his surprise at how much was needed.
