The JAG Stare

JAG was a one-hour drama series that ran from 1995 to 2005. Adam and Josh would frequently watch the show with their parents. One of the main characters was Commander Harmon Rabb Jr. ("Harm" for short). The entire family noticed that whether any given scene warranted it or not, Harm's gaze would occasionally become extremely intense and intimidating, regardless of who he was looking at. Sometimes he would even lean forward a bit, cocking his head slightly, adding to the effect. The entire family began to refer to this as "The JAG Stare" and would comically use it on each other, even exaggerating the traits to ridiculous levels.

Since then, any time any of them have noticed a particularly intense look from anybody - fictional character or otherwise - it is said that they are "giving the JAG Stare".
