At some point, no earlier than the late 90s, Josh took particular notice of instructions that offered their steps in various languages. Typically, the options would be English, Spanish, French, and German. However, Josh would take particular enjoyment in the actual German word for the German language: Deutsch. Not knowing the actual pronunciation, Josh intentionally pronounced it incorrectly in a forceful, oddly Scottish accent. Rather than the correct pronunciation sounding like "doytch", Josh said it as "DOOTCH". Thereafter, any time Josh has come across Deutsch, he pronounces it his own way.

This became particularly humorous upon discovery of Deutsche Bank.
