Quotes
"DUH-BLE!"
To Adam and Josh, one of the voice samples in the game sounded like "DUH-BLE!". They both found this humorous and began to repeat the phrase in an imitation Banjo voice. As with the "PASS" phenomenon from Nintendo World Cup Soccer, Adam and Josh have since said words rhyming with double in the aforementioned manner.
"I'm sorry! I forgot!"
Kazooie often scolds Banjo from her position in the backpack on Banjo's back. Often, Josh would repeat certain actions just to annoy Kazooie only to respond "I'm sorry! I forgot!" in a Banjo imitation. While Banjo was sincere in his apology, Josh was not.
"Ignat Bokl!"
The shaman character Mumbo Jumbo has skulls littered throughout the levels for collection. When the player picks one up, a voice sample of Mumbo plays, saying "Ikkum Bokkum!". Adam and his friend realized this phrase sounded similar to a high school classmate's name, Ignat Bokl, and began to say this instead of the actual phrase.
"It burns!"
When Banjo gets hit, he cries out "It hurts!". For some reason, Josh changed this to "It burns!", which he would cry out in a Banjo voice any time he got hit.
"Whoaoaoa-GU-HUH!"
One of the voice samples from the game is of Banjo saying "Gu-HUH!" which plays at various times. When Banjo falls from a great height, he begins to cry out along the lines of "Whoaoaoaoa!". At times, a certain move can be performed as the player falls to prevent taking damage on impact. The voice sample that plays during this move is "Gu-HUH" and interrupts Banjo's falling cry, making the complete sound of "Whoaoaoa-GU-HUH!". Adam and Josh found this very humorous and would repeat this process as often as they could.
Mobster Jingos
There is a race of creature in the game called Jinjos. They have been dispersed throughout the levels, often stranded in high areas, for Banjo and Kazooie to rescue. For reasons unknown to them, Adam and Josh refused to call them by their proper name, instead insisting on calling them Jingos. They would often go into first person camera mode when approaching a stranded Jinjo, laughing at the forlorn and somber eyes of the individual in despair. The Jinjo's squirming and arm waving, along with their squeaky "Help!" and previously mentioned somber eyes, made for great comedy.
Adam and Josh imagined there to be a very large Jinjo somewhere. What his status was among the Jinjo was never established. They pictured him lying in repose on his side, head rested on his hand, very unconcerned with his need for rescue. He wore a blocky grey fedora and held a blocky cigar in his blocky hand which he would occasionally puff from. In demonstration of his apathy about the situation, instead of the usual squeaky "Help!" that the other Jinjos would make, he'd say in a low, deep voice "Jingo... wheeeee..." disinterestedly (the "whee" normally being said upon rescue).
